Poppy Appeal and other British Legion news

What a strange time we have had!!

The Chairman of the RBL, John Parry, the Mayor, Helen Simpson and the Constable, Nick Lumley laid wreaths on the War Memorials to mark VE Day and to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Please see Photo Gallery on this website.

The Poppy Appeal for this year stands at a remarkable total of £27160.64. Thank you everyone. We would like to tell what is happening for the collections in October and November, but at the time of writing this is not known.

There are provisional plans for various events in the weeks before Remembrance Sunday. Look out for details nearer the time.
