Handybus Service

Travel to Newbury and Hungerford for shopping. This is a door to door service with a very helpful driver. A schedule is published in The Fisherman and displayed on the notice board at the entrance to Thatcher’s Yard. Booking is essential – call 01488 658725 and leave your details. There is a small charge for the service which is collected by the driver.

Please do make use of this service… …it is there for you!

Village Lunch

This is a community lunch for all our residents, held on the third Thursday of each month in The Coronation Hall. It is
a time for us to relax, make friends, exchange information and enjoy ourselves. The team of volunteers prepare and serve a home cooked, two course meal, followed by tea or coffee and chocolates. There is a raffle, lively chat and laughter! The cost is very reasonable and booking is essential – call us on 01488 657119 for more details and
please let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements.

Volunteering ~ Perhaps you would like to volunteer..

We always need volunteer drivers, minibus drivers, help with the lunch – cooking, serving, washing up and, of
course, volunteers to run the office on week days between 9.30 and 11.30am. Don’t worry you won’t be ‘thrown in
at the deep end’ – we give you training! We are also on the lookout for more Street Representatives to deliver information to their near neighbours.

Drop into the office and find out more or give us a call on 01488 657119 and one of the Committee members
will call you back.

The Volunteer Group produces the Village Guide, which is distributed to all households free of charge.

This provides local information about clubs, special interest groups, schools & religious organisations together with street maps of Kintbury and Inkpen.

Three books are on sale in the KVG Office:

• Kintbury Through the Ages
• A Century Remembered
